OUR WORKSHOPS

Mindfulness techniques are introduced in small group sized workshops (dependant on the activity) but typically won’t be greater than approximately 15 people and are conducted in a comfortable and supportive environment with no judgement.

These sessions are facilitated by those experienced in their craft along with a co-facilitator who provides guidance to the group to understand and practice mindfulness as they undertake the activity. Regular workshops generally run for no more than 3 hours (dependant on the activity).

You choose the workshops that interest you - you’re welcome to do them all. Workshops include a focus on mindfulness through drawing, word working, painting, writing, gardening or macramé just to name a few.

 

No artistic ability is required, in fact, those who are open to learning new skills will benefit greatly. You will be welcomed to participate as little or as much as you want. Participants are encouraged to practice simple techniques outside of the workshops (in your day-to-day lives) – supporting you to build confidence and competence.

It is the intent of Mindful Makings Inc to make these workshops available to as many people that are interested and for there to be minimal financial outlay. Given we are a not for profit it is not our goal to make a profit – it is genuinely to share the benefits of the collaboration of creativity and mindful practices.
