HEALTH BENEFITS

Mindfulness is being self-aware and proactively addressing negativity and life challenges. Mindfulness is not affiliated with a religion and is simply a method of mental training. It differs from meditation – as some confuse the two practices.

You will focus on the present, being aware and grateful will become a focus.

By a person focusing their awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting their own feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, they’re able to benefit from this therapeutic technique.

Scientific studies have shown that mindfulness can support the management of depression and other disorders and can be conducted in nearly every part of a person’s day. The interesting factor is that everyone has the ability to undertake the techniques by cultivating skills that are sometimes unconsciously practiced but not yet perfected.

Professionals are now starting to prescribe mindfulness in place of medication across the world. Peer-reviewed scientific papers demonstrate that mindfulness improves mental and physical wellbeing while also enhancing creativity and decision making.

Mindfulness will help train the participant to take control of their awareness, so that they can shift attention from depressing or negative thoughts to more positive ones with greater ease.

Direct benefits for some participants who practice mindfulness include:

  • Reduction in addictive and self-destructive behavior, including the abuse         of illegal and prescription drugs and excessive alcohol intake

  • Reduction in anxiety, stress and depression.

  • Enhanced creativity, clear mind and improvement in decision-making
